Entirely built on one important word: and, Ampersand celebrates this and that. Just like Tiffany & Co is better than just Tiffany, creativity is better when there is room for another "and", whether it be another collaborator, another houseplant, another good song coming on the radio.
One of my projects in AP Art my senior year of high school included making t shirts for a band. I started with a self made stamp originally intended for making prints, carved out of rubber by hand. After completed editions of the print, I decided to use the same stamp to make band t-shirts.
The logo was the band name "The Silhouettes" in the shape of a silhouette. This photo shows the remains of one of the first edition prints.
